The following information is designed to help answer any questions you have before your course.

Before you leave home

You should arrange adequate insurance (personal possessions and medical) and make sure that you have received your course confirmation and certificate of enrolment (if a visa is required) and other documents such as accommodation details from us.

When you arrive

If you are arriving from outside the European Union, you may be questioned by immigration officers on arrival about your purpose for visiting Britain. Be prepared to show them your enrolment documents.

Transport from the airport

We can arrange taxi transfers from the airport to your accommodation.
If we have arranged a taxi transfer for you, we will send you written confirmation of the date and time, plus the contact numbers of the taxi company. The driver will meet you in the Arrivals Hall, holding a Regent sign with your name.

If you have not asked for a taxi transfer:

From London Heathrow:
take the Heathrow Express train to Paddington Station, then either a black London taxi, the Underground or National Rail services to your accommodation. Alternatively from Heathrow airport you can take the Underground (Piccadilly line) to central London, and change lines to arrive at your accommodation.

From London Gatwick:
take the Gatwick Express train to Victoria Station, then either a black London taxi, the Underground or National Rail services to your accommodation.

From London Stansted:
take the Stansted Express train to Liverpool Street Station, then either a black London taxi, the Underground or National Rail services to your accommodation.

From London Luton:
take the First Capital Connect train to King’s Cross/St. Pancras station, then either a black London taxi, the Underground or National Rail services to your accommodation.

From London City airport:
either a black London taxi to your accommodation or a DLR train to Canning Town Station. Change at Canning Town for the Underground and continue your journey by public transport.

From St. Pancras station:
take a black London taxi, the Underground or National Rail services to your accommodation.

On your first day

The nearest Underground stations to Regent London are: Embankment and Charing Cross. Both are one minute from the school.

Buying a ticket:
do not leave it to Monday morning or you will be caught in the ‘rush-hour’. You might find that a one-week or a one-month ‘Oyster’ Travel Card is the best choice. A one week zones 1-2 Oyster Travel Card will cost approximately £33. This will give you unlimited travel on the tube and buses within those zones and enable you to easily visit the most popular tourist attractions in London.
Please arrive at Regent London by 8:15am on your first day. A Regent member of staff will be waiting in Reception to meet you.

London transport

London offers an extensive transport network that includes trains, buses and taxis. For frequent train and/or bus users some of the best tickets are weekly and monthly Oyster Travel Cards, which allow you to travel as many times within the purchased zones. There are other types of tickets available. For London transport ticket information please visit
